We would like to recognise the traditional owners of the land, the Gundungurra, and D’harawal people. We learned from them that we are just custodians of the land and that the land should be treated with respect and gratitude. Our farm has dedicated wildlife corridors where native flora and fauna reside including several platypi that reside in Missingham creek, which flows directly into Carrington Falls just a few short km’s away. These creeks and waterways are fenced off to reduce erosion and environmental disruption in sensitive areas by the cattle. By maintaining rigours pasture rotations and allowing adequate time for each paddock to be rested, we ensure the cattle have adequate grazing allocation without grazing the pasture too hard.
